Do you need assistance from the government? Are you unsure which level of government is best able to help you?

Here is a quick guide to who is responsible for what. If you are still unsure who to contact for assistance, call or email my office. I would be pleased to help you with your concern or direct you to the appropriate government agency.

Federal government (Government of Canada): Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, Income Tax, Veterans’ Affairs, federal Crown Corporations, Citizenship & Immigration, passports, Old Age Security, defence, foreign affairs, Canada Student Loans

Provincial government (Government of Ontario): Registry services (marriage, death, land, vehicle, driver's license etc.), health and hospitals, Trillium Drug Plan, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, Ontario Student Assistance Program, social services, family services, education

Municipal government (Region of Peel, City of Brampton, City of Mississauga): Streets and sidewalks, police and fire services, waste disposal, public transit, parking enforcement, property taxes, public libraries, recreational facilities
